1. CYLINDRICAL CELL:-
The most common form of Li-ion cell is that of the small cylindrical type. The most common format being 18650 and 32650 format. They have good cycling and mechanical ability and economical for manufacturing.
  2. PRISMATIC CELL:-
Aluminium or steel cans are typically used as housing of prismatic Li-ion cells. The ensure structural stability and also allows the use of safety features such as pressure relief vents. In some cases, prismatic cells may allow packaging to be more effecient than cylindrical cell because of their form factors.
  3. POUCH CELLS:-
These are simple, flexible and lightweight solutions to the battery design. They also have the highest packaging efficiency and are cost effective for manufacturing.
